The mode of transmission is still in debate, it is not clear how the virus is passed from one animal to another. And, there is no cure, it is just a matter of time. We vaccinate for it because whatever preventative protection the vaccine might offer is better than no protection at all for at risk cats.

Recommended 1-2 times yearly. Yearly blood testing will help identify underlying problems with your pet's internal organ function that is not readily apparent on a physical examination. The screen evaluates things such as liver and kidney function, checks blood sugar and protein levels. The level of testing will depend on your pet's age and physical condition. Senior animals and animals on life-long medication are tested on a semi-annual basis due to their increased risk for disease.
